Greetings everyone, hope this week finds you all enthusiastic about gratitude. I am grateful to be teaming up with Dr. Jake Erickson to co-teach a nutrition and raw foods workshop on Dec 12th, 10 am - noon. Then at high noon we will have an Un-Bake Sale, all yummy healthy holiday goodies - raw food style of course! I think we'll be having pumpkin chocolate cheesecakes, the oh-so-popular chocolate macaroons, maybe a tirimisu, pecan fudge and more. Are you drooling yet? If you don't make it to the workshop come for the sale, yummmmm!

OH! I was hoping the flyer would show up for you, guess you'll have to download it! Let me know how it goes.

Sigh, I've made it to Saturday night. One more week to go before Thanksgiving break. Interesting thing about Thanksgiving it drives more people to consider what they are grateful for, and facebookers are posting daily gratitude bits. Personally, if one day in the year goes by that I have not expressed gratitude for something I am off my game. It's the blessing and recognition of gratefulness that allows us to step into the magic of connection. Me gusta mucha and therefore thank you, thank you, thank you as often as I can. :)

Right now in fact, I am grateful my internet connection is holding out long enough for me to type this blog live and hopefully publish it in one sitting. I am also grateful for my creative mind as I've been working on a flyer for a raw food workshop that I will be co-teaching on Saturday Dec 12th. My brain is alive with ideas on making this a successful event. hmmm, yumm.

I am grateful I can keep this blog short when my brain has been formulating blog topics all week.

Have a great Namaste!

I have some time before I am off on my commute to Boise for work and school and wondering how best to spend it. Homework? Nah.  Making Raw food wraps? Nah, already have other wraps in fridge. Oh I know! How's about this here blog? Why, yes indeed. This is a brilliant idea.

Within the past month I began chiropractic treatment. Stumbled upon a wonderful wellness minded chiro who is part of the Maximized Living movement, AND they support raw food for maximum nutrition, so up my alley, aye? My Doc's name is Jake Erickson and before he begins treatment he takes an x-ray of your spine, then discusses with you what he discovered. http://www.maximizedlivingdrerickson.com

Being an Iyengar-style yoga instructor and a warrior for wellness anyway I was uber-curious as to what story my x-ray would tell. What a surprise! The car wreck in 2005 did leave a visible shift in my spine and my neck is straight, que horror! Yes, of course, treatment begins.

Now just barely a month into this treatment I am discovering interesting detoxing going on. For example, my body is releasing the car accident. I had a huge bruise show up on the inside of my left knee and although not painful weird how it got there, it puzzled me for awhile. The only other time I had a similar bruise was from my car wreck. My right knee is wonky due to realignment and body memory releasing. Ca-razy. It wasn't until yesterday that I connected my car wreck with my wonky body, wow! Huge awareness this is and fortunately I can tap into various sources and work more deeply with releasing this energy from my experience. yippee!

Oh and as far as my neck goes, apparently I have not been doing my headstands in the correct spot which would support the natural curve of our necks. More on this later.

So the story continues. I recognize that the good Dr. Jake is helping me live a quality life longer than if I had not met him, Thank you Dr. Jake. I also acknowledge that regardless of where we are on our paths, no matter how much spiritual training, body training one has, we can be open to more joy, more love, more peace, and more ENTHUSIASM. I am grateful that I remain teachable and can pay attention to spirit's voice in my life. Woop woop, ah-dee ah -dee woop!

Have a blessed day!

....well, electronically, that is.

I have had such resistance to blogging. It is so much like journaling, why bother blogging? Sure writing electronically is faster and easier than the traditional pen and paper, yet everyone will see it, or will they? Even if "they" do will it matter?

I have postponed blogging thinking I would explore it when done with my college career.
Good news! I graduate from Boise State University in May 2010 and so a-blogging we shall go!

Today needs to be a short blog as I must attend to my research paper on Employee Owned Business.  My brain is now attuned to blogging and I will commit to this in a timely fashion.

More opportunities for life await me! I am so excited!
